Over Thanksgiving I decided to make fudge to give to people as a Christmas gift this year.  If you have never made fudge you must realize that it isn’t as easy as people say it is.  Cheryl bought all the ingredients I needed (she is a good wife) and I used the recipe from the Marshmallow Fluff contain which told me to mix everything except the chocolate in a big pan and heat until it came to a boil.  Then the directions said to heat until the “softball test” is complete.  What is the softball test I wondered?  How am I going to know how long to boil if I don’t know what the softball test is?  Needless to say, I ended up not boiling the fudge long enough and the fudge never hardened.  The best part of the ...
